What is ruler quilting?

Ruler quilting is a way of quilting your own quilts using acrylic rulers and a ruler foot on your sewing machine. The ruler guides your stitching, so you get smooth, precise lines and curves without needing years of free motion practice. It is my favorite way to finish quilts, and it is what I teach.

Can I really quilt my own quilts on a home sewing machine?

Yes! You do not need a longarm machine. With a domestic sewing machine, a ruler foot, and a few quilting rulers, you can finish everything from mini quilts to throw size quilts right at home. My Quilting with Rulers Academy teaches you exactly how.

What do I need to get started with ruler quilting?

A domestic sewing machine, a ruler foot that fits your machine, and at least one straight line quilting ruler. That is genuinely it to start. As your skills grow, wavy and specialty rulers open up even more designs.

How do your PDF patterns arrive?

Instantly! Every pattern in my shop is a digital PDF download delivered the moment you check out. You can print it at home or save it to your device for easy reference while you sew.

When do physical orders ship?

Physical items ship via UPS from California on the Saturday following your purchase. If you order on a Saturday or Sunday, your order ships the following Saturday.

What is your refund policy?

Because digital patterns are instant downloads, all sales on digital products are final. For physical items, please see my refund policy or contact me and I will do my best to help.

Do you offer free quilting lessons?

Yes! My YouTube channel is full of free tutorials, and when you join my email list I will send you 10 free straight line quilting designs to get you started.

What skill level are your patterns?

Most of my patterns are written with beginners in mind, with clear step by step instructions and no guesswork. A few, like Cali Pines, are intermediate, and every listing tells you the skill level up front.

What is the Quilting with Rulers Academy?

It is my online course that teaches you how to quilt your own quilts with rulers on your home machine, from prepping your rulers all the way to borders, binding, and finishing. You learn at your own pace with lifetime access. Come see what is inside!
