Thank you for shopping at SewMelanie! I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please review this policy carefully.

Digital Products (PDF Patterns)

Due to the nature of digital downloads, all pattern sales are final.

However, if you experience any of the following issues, please contact me immediately:

  • File won't download or is corrupted
  • Missing pages or printing errors in the PDF
  • Pattern differs significantly from description

I'll work with you to resolve any technical issues or provide a replacement file.

Physical Products (Fabric, Finished Quilts, Kits)

Return Window

  • 30 days from delivery date for unused items in original condition
  • Items must include all original packaging and tags
  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned

Return Process

  1. Email info@sewmelanie.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Wait for return authorization and instructions
  3. Ship item back within 7 days of authorization
  4. Include original packing slip if possible

Refund Details

  • Refunds processed within 5-7 business days of receiving returned item
  • Original payment method will be credited
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable (unless item arrived damaged or defective)
  • Customer pays return shipping unless item is defective

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos
  • I'll provide a prepaid return label
  • Choose replacement or full refund (including shipping)

Exchanges

I'm happy to exchange physical items for:

  • Different size (if applicable)
  • Different color or fabric
  • Store credit

Contact me to arrange an exchange before returning your item.

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Digital downloads/PDF patterns (unless defective)
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Items marked as final sale
  • Items without original tags/packaging
